Questions about using Svitlo Wallet, or something not working right — start here.

I lost my recovery phrase or password

Svitlo Wallet is non-custodial — your recovery phrase and password never leave your device, and we don't keep a copy anywhere. This means we cannot recover your wallet for you. If both are lost, the funds at that address are permanently inaccessible. This is true of every non-custodial wallet, not specific to Svitlo — back up your recovery phrase somewhere safe as soon as you create a wallet.

How do I restore my wallet on a new device?

Open Svitlo Wallet, choose Restore wallet, and enter your 12 or 24-word recovery phrase exactly as it was given to you, in order. Set a new local password for this device — it doesn't need to match the password you used before, since the password only encrypts the keystore on that specific device.

My balance isn't updating / the app says the node is offline

Svitlo Wallet needs a working connection to a Svitlo Chain RPC node to show live balances and broadcast transactions. Check Settings → Node URL — the default points at the public Svitlo Chain node. If you've changed this to a custom node (for example, one on your own local network), confirm that node is actually running and reachable from your device.

I sent a transaction to the wrong address

Transactions on Svitlo Chain are final once confirmed — there is no way for us, or anyone, to reverse a transaction after it's broadcast. Always double check the recipient address before confirming a send.

Is Svitlo Wallet free?

Yes. Svitlo Wallet has no purchase price and no in-app purchases. Network transactions carry a small flat fee paid in SVIT, set by the Svitlo Chain protocol itself, not by the wallet app.

Still stuck?

Email mencher59@gmail.com with a description of what happened, your platform (iOS/Android/macOS/Windows/Linux), and the app version — found in Settings → About. Never share your recovery phrase or password with anyone, including anyone claiming to be Svitlo support — we will never ask for either.
